This is a fun one. Currently still under development but Charlie Croker was contacted by an event company and asked if we could design & build a spinning infinity tunnel. It had to be 20M long, fully mobile, fit in a Luton Van and be assembled in a couple of hours by fitters who may not be familiar with it.

Having Googled Infinity Tunnel and found out what it was I said yes I'd have a go!

Whilst there are plenty of these around that are static or built inside big artic trailers, nothing this portable exists so this can be used at small indoor venues, and brought in through a standard doorway.

The frame is built from steel box section for strength and it fits together with quick release quarter turn clamps, no nuts and bolts to get lost. The various sections are directionally colour coded to make assembly as foolproof as possible.

The drum hoops are made from three laminated layers of laser cut 18mm birch plywood. Hinged in the middle to make 5ft x 10ft sections. The inner ring is smaller which creates a rim for the rings to sit on. The whole assembly is very light so can run on 6 bicycle wheels, readily available off the shelf and strong.

There is a variable speed motor and gearbox chain drive system which is simple to integrate with the bike wheel sprocket.

The inner drum covering is programmable video star cloth, esentially a giant flexible RGB video screen so the sky is the limit in terms of visuals and messing with your balance.

The walkway and stairs are aluminium with a mesh base & the whole ride will sit in a blackout tent with lightproof entrances.
