What’s it like working with you:

I remember us first working together on a design brief 15 or so years ago, back in the corporate days. I recall how easy you made the process of designing a logo/brand identity, a lot of which was down to you making sure you understood the brief. As well as not overcomplicating your response. Basically you identified what was needed and nailed it in a simple and highly creative way. A super-efficient approach, well within budget, and enjoyable as without the typical hiccups I’ve experienced with other creative partners.

Since then, you’ve turned your hand to metal-based projects, but the same capabilities are evident: you really listen to understand what’s being asked for, add your hefty sprinkle of creative interpretation to identify different innovative options, followed by prototyping and refining until you’re totally happy. I’m always a little surprised by your ability to surpass what’s I’ve expected, as I think I’m pretty demanding on both the creative idea and how well it’s been executed. There’s a sense of huge personal pride in anything you make, which is incredibly reassuring.

Quite simply, the garden ornaments bring me joy.

The garden panels weathered as you predicted and the rusting adds to their aesthetic appeal. And they’re just stable as the day you put them in, despite some hefty storms and trees coming down around them.

The weather vane has a dynamic presence when catching the wind, highly watchable! Your ability to recondition it back to its original state after fire damage was remarkable.
