I needed a perfectly level welding and fabrication table with built in clamping holes. I've wanted one for years but never quite got around to building it. I had a lot of repeat parts to make and needed something indexable to speed the fabrication process so I finally had an excuse.
This is built with a 17mm steel plate surface with laser cut indexing holes every 50mm. It will never warp not matter how much heat I hit it with. It pretty much allows me to clamp anything to anything and get it perfectly square and level every time.The frame is 50mm Box with a 3mm wall and I made all the feet adjustable so it can be perfectly levellled wherever I take it.Of course if welding isn't your thing then it would make the coolest industrial table for your house as well.
